I’ve gotten to take pictures of Chelsea, Andy, and Ivy a few times now and it’s always the sweetest. This time Chelsea’s mom, sister, brother, and their families were all in town so we got to do photos of all of them together. I love getting to meet people’s family and see their relationships! Also every shoot should include a grandma, just saying.
It is always such a joy when you get the chance to photograph your friends! Preston & Deanna hosted the community group I was a part of up until baby Anderson arrived and then I got to come over for a quiet Saturday morning of hanging out, playing with trucks with Elliot, and lots of newborn snuggles. Deanna and I talked about capturing moments of regular life with a newborn and a toddler, so we did exactly that and it was perfect.
It’s possible I’m biased that these are the best kids in the world because they’re my nephew and niece. It’s always such a joy to photograph my sister and her family—I’ve gotten to do everything from engagement photos to maternity portraits to newborns and family photos, including these Christmas pictures. Throw in some grandparents and my younger sister, too, and Micah and Jacey in the fox hats I got them for Christmas and it was perfect.
This shoot started with one of the best e-mails I’ve ever received from a client: “Do you do engagement photos… with cats?” Absolutely I do. Rhianon & Norris renovated their home themselves and in this shoot we got to show off their space, Rhianon’s pottery (she made those mugs!), and their love for their cats. They have two cats of their own and they foster other cats who are looking for homes. When I asked how many cats they would have if they could, Rhainon said, without hesitating, “seventeen.” Such a great time getting to capture their love!
I met Jillian and Greg just a few days before I left San Antonio to move to Vancouver. We did some maternity photos and when I came back at Christmastime, I got to meet baby Jake! We had such a fun time doing some of Theo’s favorite things, like reading and playing on his orange drum set… and also jumping on the bed.
For one of my classes in grad school, I did a project related to Mary being the new Eve. My friend Yare agreed to model for me, which was awesome because she is not only amazing but also pregnant. These are a few photos I used in my project, plus some extras from the shoot.
Eric & Christine are celebrating 10 years of marriage this August! So they put on some fancy clothes and took some incredible photos with their adorable kids. This was such a fun shoot at a wedding venue outside of San Antonio and a great way to celebrate ten years of marriage.
What if real estate photos--instead of being big, empty rooms--actually showed people living in the homes? I love the idea of combining lifestyle and real estate photography to show off great living spaces and how inviting they can be.
It was such a blast to get to take Alicia’s senior photos! She’s a first generation college student who conquered her Communications degree at UTSA. Wishing her all the best on her next big move!
This is my favorite kind of shoot! Dogs and their people are so fun to take pictures of together. And Ranger was so excited about the ball.
This was a fun project we did at Mission Church for Easter 2016. Our theme was "Love the World," so we challenged our church to choose one cause that helped people or the planet and "get dirty" for their cause. People chose things from local farms to clean energy to the arts to foster care. We also printed invite tickets to our Easter service and handed out coasters made with recycled paper, eco-friendly ink, and containing wildflower seeds for planting.
Ben & Danielle are engaged! It was so hard to keep quiet after Ben booked me for this shoot; I love both of these friends so much and I love their love story! I'm so glad I got to be there to capture this proposal at Friedrich Park.
Happy 5th birthday to James! I have been taking photos for the Cains since James turned one--it's amazing to see him grow up and become a big brother to the sweetest siblings.
Brendan & Kristen are such a great couple! Brendan planned his proposal at the Pearl, where I hid out and took pictures. Then he and his future mother-in-law surprised Kristen with an engagement party that included family and friends from all over the country. Congrats future Gallaghers!
At Mission Church, we love telling stories of Life with Jesus. Here are some of my favorites that I've worked on with real people from Mission.
